Working with Maps

Maptaskr Power Maps offers a comprehensive suite of tools for interacting with, analysing, and visualising spatial data. Each section below describes a core area of functionality to help you get the most from your mapping experience.

The main menu is your starting point for all map interactions. Use the Search tool to quickly find addresses, regions, or features, making navigation and data discovery effortless. The Layers panel gives you full control over your map’s content, letting you add, organize, and manage layers for clear and effective visualization. With the Shapes tool, you can draw or upload custom shapes to highlight areas or filter data, while Filters allow you to focus on the most relevant information by applying criteria interactively or through configuration. The Measurements tool enables you to calculate distances and areas directly on the map, supporting both quick checks and detailed analysis. AI-powered features (coming soon) will further accelerate your workflows.

Map Controls

Map Controls provide intuitive ways to interact with your map. You can zoom, pan, rotate, or enter fullscreen mode for a more immersive view. Easily switch between different basemaps and map elevations, or center the map on your current location. These controls ensure you always have the best perspective for your task.

Data Tab

The Data Tab transforms your map layers into a spreadsheet-style table, making it easy to browse, filter, and analyze your data. Select one or multiple features, perform actions, and refresh or expand the data view as needed—all without leaving the map interface.

Attributes Panel

When you select features on the map, the Attributes Panel displays detailed information and available actions for each selection. This makes it easy to review and update data, or trigger workflows based on your selections, whether you’re working with a single feature or multiple items at once.

Attribution

Maptaskr provides clear attribution for basemap sources and includes a map scale for reference, ensuring transparency and accuracy in your mapping projects.

Powered By

A small Powered by Maptaskr badge appears in the map corner (typically bottom‑right). Hover (or tap on touch devices) to reveal the current build/version number—useful when logging support tickets or validating an update.

Map Interactions

Map interactions are designed to be intuitive and efficient. Select one or multiple features to view attributes and perform actions, control the map’s zoom level for detailed or broad views, apply spatial or attribute-based filters to focus on relevant data, and use the context menu for quick access to common actions by right-clicking on the map or features.
