Manual Installation

Manual installation should only be used if AppSource installation is not available for your environment (e.g., restricted or disconnected deployments). For most scenarios, we strongly recommend installing via AppSource.


Downloading the Solution Package

Official Maptaskr solution files can be downloaded from the Releases section. Solution files are distributed as .zip packages with the following naming convention:

Only officially released packages should be installed. Contact support@maptaskr.com if you are unsure about the file you have received.


Installing the Solution

Prerequisite

Before manually installing Maptaskr Power Maps, you must complete the Platform Configuration.
This ensures your environment is correctly configured to allow installation of the Maptaskr solution.

To install Maptaskr using the Power Apps Admin Portal:

  1. Navigate to Power Apps Admin and select the target environment.

  2. Go to Solutions in the left navigation and select Import solution.

  3. In the Import a solution panel, click Browse and select the solution package (.zip).

  4. Click Next, then Import to start installation.

  5. Track progress in the notification panel until the solution shows as Installed.

  6. Once complete, the Maptaskr app will appear in the Published Apps section of the selected environment.

Troubleshooting

General Import Failure

Symptoms:

  • Status: Failed.
  • Errors referencing component framework or attachment size.
  • Missing PCF controls.

Checklist before retry:

  1. Increase file/attachment size limit (System Settings > Email tab > Set file size limit for attachments).
  2. Enable canvas PCF: System Settings > Customization > "Use new Power Apps component framework for canvas apps".
  3. Confirm you are System Administrator.
  4. Retry import after prerequisite corrections.

Insufficient User Permissions

If you are not a System Administrator, import may fail or skip components. Assign (or temporarily elevate) the System Administrator role and retry.

Connection Error During Flow (Cloud Flow) Import

If you see a "Connection Error" or missing connection reference components during import of an add‑on or flows solution:

Likely causes:

  • User settings not initialized in the environment.
  • Missing privileges for connectors.
  • The current user’s connection references not created yet.

Steps:

  1. Ensure you are a System Administrator.

  2. Open personal settings via gear icon (Settings > Personalization Settings) and save (this forces settings creation).

  3. Return and re‑import the solution.

  4. If connection references still do not appear, try a different System Administrator account (some accounts initialize faster).

  5. After successful import, open each flow and confirm connection references are bound (no yellow warning banners).
