Configuring Your Maps

All Maptaskr Power Maps configurations can be accessed through the Maptaskr Power Maps first-party application.

The Maptaskr Power Maps Administration App provides admin users with tools to manage all aspects of Maptaskr Power Maps functionality within the instance where it is installed. This includes tasks such as license registration, configuring GIS layers, and managing authentication profiles for seamless use across the environment.

Administration Permissions

Power Maps Admin grants configuration-app access, but is not equivalent to System Administrator. Use System Administrator, or an account with equivalent permissions for the operation, to manage environment licenses, assign or remove user/team licenses, or install and update packages, including Quick Start solutions. Navigation visibility does not establish permission to complete an operation. See licensing permissions and package permissions.

To begin, open the Maptaskr Power Maps Administration App in your Dynamics 365 environment. In the Configuration area and under Setup, the following key configuration areas are available:

Functionality	Description
License Manager	Handle license registration and activation for your Maptaskr Power Maps instance.
Package Manager	Manage solution packages, including updates and customizations.
Provider Manager	Set up and manage data providers for GIS layers and other integrations.
Config Manager	Manage global settings and preferences for Power Maps functionality.

For advanced configuration, you can also access the Advanced navigation item, which includes:

Functionality	Description
Auth Manager	Configure authentication profiles for all providers and layers to ensure secure access.

All core Maptaskr Power Maps configurations are organized under the Configuration area, making it easy to navigate and manage settings. This can be accessed via the option set in the bottom left corner.
