Setup Maps in Power Pages

With Maptaskr, you can embed fully interactive geospatial controls directly into your Power Pages portals - bringing maps, layers, and spatial insights into customer-facing experiences. This makes it possible to power scenarios like self-service portals, community maps, or industry-specific applications with rich, real-time location intelligence.

Due to the nature of Power Pages, enabling Maptaskr in portal pages and forms requires some fundamental setup of Power Pages components — such as site settings, roles, and table permissions — to ensure maps work correctly and securely.

To assist with getting Maptaskr Power Maps can be enabled in Microsoft Power Pages, we have provided guidance on how to setups maps in two ways:

ApproachBest For
Solution AcceleratorQuickly setting up a new, generic portal with Maptaskr preconfigured. Ideal for trials, demos, proof-of-concepts, or learning how maps work in Power Pages.
Manual InstallationIntegrating Maptaskr into an existing or production Power Pages site where you need a tailored setup that aligns to your organisation’s portal design, data model, and security requirements.

While Solution Accelerators are currently limited to specific scenarios, we’re planning to expand them with additional accelerators targeted at common business applications and use cases.

note

These prerequisites are mandatory before proceeding with either the Solution Accelerator or Manual Install approach.

Anonymous vs. Authenticated Access

Important

If you enable anonymous access, carefully restrict Site Settings and Table Permissions to the minimum required tables and fields.

Anonymous portals can expose sensitive data if misconfigured - always review your organisation’s corporate and regulatory data exposure policies before proceeding.
