Context Menu

The context menu lets you quickly interact with the exact map location you right‑click (or long‑press on touch). It provides two core capabilities:

  1. Displays the latitude and longitude of the clicked location.
  2. Lists any available Map Actions configured for that coordinate (managed in the Config Manager).

Opening the Context Menu

Right‑click anywhere on the map (or long‑press on touch devices). A small panel appears showing:

  • Latitude & Longitude (in decimal degrees)
  • A copy icon/button next to the coordinates
  • A list of enabled Map Actions (if any are applicable)

Copying Coordinates

Click the copy icon to place the coordinate pair on your clipboard in the format: lat, long.

You can then paste these values into:

  • Search input (to jump directly to a point)
  • Action / form inputs requiring a centre point
  • External tools (e.g., GIS platforms, spreadsheets, planning documents)

Search Here Map Action

Quickly re-run a coordinate search using the feature's latitude and longitude—no manual copy/paste required. The action opens the Search panel, pre‑populates the lat/long fields with the feature values, executes the search, and displays the resulting context.

info

Prerequisite: Search Panel must be enabled.

  • This action is only available when the Search Panel is active. If the panel is disabled in the profile configuration the action will not render.

Custom Map Actions

If Map Actions have been defined for the profile, they appear beneath the coordinates. Selecting one will execute the configured behaviour (e.g., open a form, run a flow, create a record, launch a dialogue, filter a layer).

Map Actions are security‑aware: users only see actions they are permitted to run.

Tips

ScenarioBenefit
Need a precise centre pointUse context menu instead of manual address search.
Creating a new shape or bufferCapture coordinates first, then feed into creation tools.
Support / diagnosticsShare exact coordinates when reporting a data or rendering issue.
Cross‑system workflowsCopy/paste into external GIS or reporting solutions.

Troubleshooting

IssueResolution
No Map Actions listedNone configured for the profile or user lacks permission. Check Config Manager.
Coordinates not copyingBrowser clipboard blocked—retry or allow clipboard permission.
Wrong locationEnsure you right‑click the intended spot; zoom in for higher precision.

Keeping the context menu workflow consistent helps accelerate data validation, action launching, and collaboration across teams.
