Import and Export
Maptaskr Power Maps provides administrators with a flexible way to manage app configurations across different environments using the Export & Import feature. This functionality allows you to back up, transfer, or replicate your configuration settings with ease.
Exporting Configurations
When exporting, you can choose which specific sections of your Maptaskr configuration to include in the export. The following configuration types are available for selection:

| Configuration Profiles | Environment-specific map control profile configurations. |
| Layers | Layers and their settings used within your maps. |
| Resources (Language Packs) | Localization files for supporting multiple languages. |
| Service Providers | Integrations and connections to external GIS or data services. |
After making your selections, the system generates a ZIP file containing the chosen configuration data. This file can be safely stored as a backup or used to migrate settings to another environment.
Export duration depends on the size and number of items selected. Large exports can take several minutes and the progress may appear idle at times. Please be patient and keep the window open until the download completes.
Importing Configurations
To import, simply upload a previously exported ZIP file into your target environment. Maptaskr Power Maps will process the file and:
- Create new configuration items if they do not already exist.
- Update existing configuration items if they are present in the import file.
- Preserve any existing configuration items that are not included in the import file (they will not be deleted).
This ensures that your environment is updated with the latest configuration data without risking accidental data loss.

After importing, always review your configuration to ensure all settings have been applied as expected. No existing configuration will be deleted if it is not present in the import file.
