Language Packs

By default, Maptaskr Power Maps does not install any language packs. If English is your primary language, this means your environment will always remain up to date with the latest English resources.

When to Install Language Packs​

You should only install a language pack if you intend to use Maptaskr Power Maps in a language other than English, or if you need to switch between multiple languages for your users.

Managing Language Packs​

Each language pack has a status indicator so administrators can easily track any changes made to the language resources. In some cases, administrators may choose to manually modify these files to better suit their organization’s needs. This is supported, but keep in mind:

  • If you update or reset a language pack, any custom changes will be overwritten and replaced with the default, up-to-date version provided by Maptaskr.

Updating and Resetting Language Packs​

If a language pack becomes out of date, an Update option will appear next to that language in the list. This allows you to easily bring your language resources up to date with the latest version provided by Maptaskr.

After you have installed a language pack, a Reset option will also be available. Use this if you want to restore the language pack to its original state. Be aware that resetting will overwrite any custom changes you have made to that language pack.

Always back up your custom language files before performing an update or reset, to avoid losing your changes.
