Search
Search is a core feature of Maptaskr, allowing users to quickly locate and display records on the Map View for further interaction and analysis. To access the search panel, click the magnifying glass icon in the main menu.
The unified search control supports multiple search methods, all from a single interface:
- Longitude and latitude coordinates
- Address
- Region
- Layers
- Features
All search types are combined into one easy-to-use panel and can be configured to match your organization's requirements through the configuration profile.
If one or more map filters (e.g. shape, extent, or attribute filters) are active, a Search within Filtered Areas Only toggle appears. Turn it on to restrict results to only those inside the filtered area; turn it off to search the full dataset. The toggle is hidden if no filters are active. (Unchecking it will include results outside the current filtered area.)

For each search result, users have several options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Navigate to | Moves the map view to center on the selected search result or to an extent . |
| Navigate and Select | Moves the map view to center on the selected search result or to an extent and pens the Attributes Panel to display available actions and attributes for the selected result. |
| Use as Filter | Uses the geometry or coordinates from the result as a filter to help visualize related data. |
| Set as Address | (Record only) Sets the selected result as the address in a form context. |
