Layer Features
At the both root and sub layer levels you have the ability to turn on the below list of common features Layer Features can be enabled at both the root layer and individual sublayer levels. This allows users to apply settings in bulk for convenience, or fine-tune features for specific sublayers when more granular control is needed.
At both the root and sublayer levels, you can enable the following common features:
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable layer quantization (If available) | Optimizes data transfer by reducing the precision of coordinates, improving performance for large datasets. |
| Enable PBF responses (If available) | Uses Protocol Buffer Binary Format (PBF) for faster, more efficient data loading if supported by the layer. |
| Contains Clickable Features (If available) | Allows users to click features on the map to view details or trigger actions. |
| Layer Is Searchable (If available) | Enables searching for features within this layer using the map's search tools. |
| Allow Filtering by attributes (If available) | Lets users filter features in the layer based on attribute values. |
| Enable Data Tab (If available) | Displays a data table for this layer, allowing users to view and interact with raw feature data. |
| Display Tooltip for this layer (if enabled in config) | Shows a tooltip with feature information when hovering over features on the map. |
| Allow Filtering by Map Filter | Permits this layer to be filtered using the global map filter controls. |
| Can be used as Map Filter | Allows this layer to act as a source for map-wide filtering, affecting other layers. |
By default, layer filtering can only be added at the sublayer level. When configuring filters, you can select the attribute field, choose a comparison operator (such as equals or not equals), and specify a value. The available fields are based on the attributes provided by the layer.
