These zoom options can be enabled and arranged to suit your use case. The timeout option lets you set a delay before falling back to the next item in the sequence. You can customize the order, select which options are enabled, and specify the duration of their timeouts.

User GPS Location

This option allows the map to automatically zoom to the user's current GPS location when available. You can configure:

  • Map Zoom Level: Set the default zoom level (1-24) to control how close the map appears when centering on the user's location. A higher number means a closer zoom.
  • Timeout (Seconds): Specify how long the system should wait for the user's GPS location before moving to the next zoom option in the sequence.

Zoom to Address Pin

This option zooms the map to a specific address pin, which is useful for record-level maps where each record has a location. Configuration options include:

  • Map Zoom Level: Set the zoom level (1-24) for how close the map should be when focusing on the address pin.
  • Timeout (Seconds): Set how long to wait for the address pin to be found before proceeding to the next option.
note

For this feature to work, your configuration profile must be set up as a record-level map, and each record must include valid latitude and longitude fields.

Zoom to Shape(s) Extents

This option zooms the map to the full extent of one or more predefined shapes. You can configure:

  • Shape Selection: Choose from the list of predefined shapes available in your configuration. Only shapes that have been set up in advance will appear here.
  • Timeout (Seconds): Set how long to wait for the shape extent to be determined before moving to the next zoom option.

Layers Extent

This option zooms the map to the full extent of one or more preconfigured layers. Configuration options include:

  • Layer Selection: Select from the list of preconfigured layers. Only layers that have been defined in your profile will be available.
  • Timeout (Seconds): Set the wait time before falling back to the next zoom option if the layer extent cannot be determined.

Tips for Configuring Zoom Options

  • Arrange the zoom options in your preferred order of priority. The system will attempt each option in sequence, using the timeout to determine when to move to the next.
  • Enable only the zoom options that are relevant to your use case for a streamlined user experience.
  • Adjust zoom levels to provide the right amount of detail for your users—experiment with different values to find the best fit.
